Arbitration is a central element to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) which, in recent years, has grown into one of the most popular forms of dispute resolution between parties. This course is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the role of arbitration, including the processes and legislative framework of commercial arbitration. It will expose students to the relevant laws that impact the arbitration process and practical procedural aspects.

Learning Outcomes

This is a unique practitioner’s qualification created through a collaboration between the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb) and BAC. It allows students to augment their qualifications whilst building their expertise and skills to position themselves as multidisciplinary consultants in the global service market.

It is a fast-tracked, practical and relevant course that can be pursued concurrently with other courses. Conducted by experienced legal practitioners and industry experts, students will develop a solid grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of the principles of arbitration, with subsequent emphasis on real-life applications using case studies. Upon completing this course, students with undergraduate qualifications will become a member of the MIArb and given the status of ‘Affiliate’.
