Overview

Arbitration is a central element to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) which in recent years have grown into one of the most popular forms of resolving disputes between parties. This course is designed to develop a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of the role of Arbitration including the processes and legislative framework of commercial arbitration. This programme will expose students to the relevant laws which impact the arbitration process and the practical procedural aspects.

Learning Outcomes

This is a unique practitioner’s qualification in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (MIArb) with BAC. It allows students to augment their qualifications whilst building their expertise and skills to position themselves as multidisciplinary consultants in the global service market.

It is a fast-track, practical and relevant course that can be pursued concurrently with other courses undertaken. Conducted by experienced legal practitioners and industry experts, students will develop a solid grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of the principles of arbitration, with subsequent emphasis on real-life applications using case studies. Upon completion of this use, students with undergraduate qualifications will additionally receive an ‘Affiliate’ status membership with MIArb.
