It Starts With How You Think,
Not How Hard You Work
Legal Associates
who think one way can earn higher pay and get promoted sooner, often without having to ask for it. Others with the same ability remain underpaid and overlooked despite putting in longer hours.
Solo Practitioners
who make different decisions can build practices that are steady and profitable. Others stay trapped in constant urgency, working harder each year for roughly the same return.
Firm Partners/Owners
who think strategically can gain leverage, calm, and continuity as their firms grow. Others find that every step forward increases dependence on them and makes the business heavier instead of stronger.

This dual reality is not accidental.
It is not caused by luck, politics, or competency, but how lawyers think before they act.

Who Should Attend
Legal Associates
who want higher pay and quicker promotion without resorting to politics, self-promotion, or empty visibility. You are strong technically but want to understand how value is recognised, trusted, and rewarded inside firms, so that your efforts advance your career rather than exhaust you.
Solo Practitioners
who want steady income that increases without more effort. You carry the full weight of the practice, worry about where the next client will come from, and push through exhaustion to keep things going. You want a practice that earns reliably and feels sustainable, rather than one that keeps you permanently tired and uncertain.
Firm Partners/Owners
who want growth without becoming the bottleneck. As firms expand, pressure often concentrates at the top. Decisions slow, dependence increases, and leadership becomes heavier instead of lighter. You want leverage, continuity, and a firm that becomes stronger and more stable as it grows, rather than more fragile.

About The Speaker

Sen Ze is a Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln’s Inn, an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, the author of the new book, The Intelligent Lawyer, the founder of The Intelligent Lawyer Inner Circle and the creator of The Super Intelligent Lawyer Programme.

He began his career as a junior associate more than 30 years ago. He would get a more than 30% increment in his salary per year starting in his first year. This would be 5 – 6 times more than his peers. In only his third year, he was offered a profit-sharing arrangement in his firm, which would then lead to partnership.

His quick progression in his legal career did not come from longer hours or louder visibility. It came from understanding how value, responsibility, and outcomes are interpreted inside legal environments, and adjusting his thinking and actions accordingly.

Sen Ze is also a best-selling author on entrepreneurship and how technology can be used to grow a business quickly and cost-effectively. In parallel with his legal practice, he has spent the past 3 decades teaching professionals and business owners on how to grow their businesses from scratch using little-known but very effective strategies most business owners don’t know about.

Sen Ze’s talk draws from actual lived experience inside and outside law practices. His unique experiences makes his talk a must-attend for lawyers of all types as he integrates strategies not normally used in legal practice, for leverage they otherwise would not get.
