The BAC Law Society had the privilege of visiting Shearn Delamore & Co, on the 24th of June 2026, one of Malaysia’s most established and prestigious full-service law firms. The visit provided students with an invaluable opportunity to step beyond the classroom and gain first-hand insight into the realities of legal practice in a leading professional environment.

The visit began with a warm welcome from the firm’s representatives, followed by a guided office tour that introduced students to the firm’s history, work culture, and modern legal workplace. Participants then attended an engaging panel forum where lawyers from various practice areas shared their career journeys, discussed the demands and rewards of legal practice, and offered practical advice on developing the skills needed to succeed in the profession.

The panel discussion brought together a distinguished group of legal practitioners from diverse practice areas, each offering valuable perspectives on their professional journeys and the realities of legal practice.

Students had the privilege of hearing from Mr. Indran Shanmuganathan, Mr. Jimmy Liew, Ms. Lilien Wong, Ms. Suganthi Singam, and Ms. Jeevita Thurai, whose candid insights and practical advice inspired meaningful discussions on career development, professional growth, and the evolving legal landscape.

The interactive session encouraged students to ask thoughtful questions about career pathways, professional development, and the evolving legal landscape. The programme concluded with a networking session, giving students the opportunity to connect with legal practitioners, exchange ideas, and build meaningful professional relationships.
