A December Made Sweeter: Gingerbread Galore by WLRC

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Welcome to Gingerbread Galore, where creativity meets festive cheer and sweet moments are made!

On a cheerful December afternoon, BACPAC at the BAC Flagship PJ Campus was filled with the comforting scent of gingerbread, laughter and the unmistakable warmth of the Christmas spirit.

Gingerbread Galore was a small festive escape for students winding down after a demanding academic period.

As students gathered around the decorating tables, stress slowly melted away. Icing bags were shared, sprinkles were traded and creativity flowed freely. Some gingerbread men wore colorful sweaters, others had quirky expressions, but each one reflected the personality and joy of its creator, as each one of them brought the gingerbread men alive with their imagination and creativity. It was also a season of good cheers where conversations sparked easily, friendships were strengthened and new connections were formed over frosting and festive cheer.

Although the holiday season meant fewer students were on campus, those who attended made the most of the experience. Their enthusiasm filled the space, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere that felt just like Christmas should, relaxed, joyful and shared with others.

When challenges arose, the organising team adapted quickly. Gingerbread DIY kits were introduced so students could take the festive spirit with them and mobile selling brought smiles to unexpected corners of the campus. These small adjustments turned obstacles into opportunities, ensuring that nothing went to waste and that the joy of the event reached even more people.

By the end of the afternoon, tables were covered in colourful creations, hearts were a little lighter and the sense of community was stronger than ever.

Gingerbread Galore reminded everyone that sometimes, it’s the simplest moments like decorating cookies, sharing laughter and coming together that make the season truly special.
