Year 1

Business Statistics 

This is an introductory survey of quantitative methods and the application of statistics in the workplace that examines techniques for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data in any number of fields. You will gain the knowledge and understanding of basic statistics and use the relevant information for decision making. You will also earn a microcredential from John Hopkins University.

Business Accounting  

You will gain knowledge and understanding of basic accounting procedures & principles in preparing financial statements for sole proprietorship and basic accounting concepts and terminologies. You will also learn about cash flow statements and the advance analysis of financial statement. You will also earn microcredentials from the University of Navarra and IESE Business School.

Microeconomics 

This module will focus on how individuals make decisions that affect their income and wealth, how firms make decisions that affect profits and production, and how government regulation affects individuals and firms. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Corporate and Business Law

You will gain a comprehensive understanding of legal frameworks and regulations that govern businesses. This knowledge will be essential for navigating complex corporate structures and making informed decisions in the business world.

Macroeconomics

This is a macroeconomics introductory module providing a general understanding of basic macro-economic concepts. Specifically, it acquaints you with an appreciation of the functions of economic systems, including various approaches to the organisation of production and allocation of resources, and of policies to achieve national economic goals. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Financial Management

This module is designed to equip you with knowledge on managerial finance both quantitative and qualitative. Topics addressed in this module will cover financial management function, investment appraisal and business finance and valuation. You will also earn a microcredential from RICE University.

Audit & Assurance Services 1 

This is an introductory module in auditing and it introduces you to the concepts and principles of auditing. Emphasis will be given on external and statutory auditing. Among the topics covered in this module include collection of evidence, internal control evaluation, audit documentation, auditing the financial statement cycles and issuance of audit report. 

Taxation 

This module includes tax chargeability for employment, dividend, interest, rental, taxation on business income and capital administration. In addition, you will be taught to calculate the capital allowances, relief, and rebates upon completion of this module.

Financial Markets & Institutions 

This module covers the study of the structure and operations of the major financial markets in a modern economy. The basic concept of the flow of funds will serve as the underlying mechanism bringing together the various private, public, and foreign sectors as they relate to demand for and supply of funds. You will also earn microcredentials via the University of Geneva.

Personal Financial Planning

Personal Financial Planning is designed to give you a general overview of a variety of personal finance topics - including budgeting, the importance of your credit score, cash flow, setting financial goals, and taxes. You will also earn a microcredential from Sofi.

Year 2

Financial Accounting 

You will be able to gain the knowledge and understanding of basic accounting procedures & principles in preparing financial statements for partnerships and limited companies. You will also be introduced to MFRS for property, plant, equipment, intangible assets, and investment properties. 

Big Data

With this module, you can easily analyse and visualise large datasets to uncover valuable insights. This module also includes advanced machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics and data mining.

Accounting Information Systems 

You will the gain knowledge and understanding of systems concept, data processing technology, systems documentation techniques, infrastructure for E-business, security, and control measures in computer-based information system (CBIS) and Accounting Information System (AIS) application in business. 

Cost & Management Accounting 

Through this module, you will be able to gain knowledge and understanding of cost & management accounting theories and principles that will be used for management decision making. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Principles of Corporate Finance

In this module, you will study the key concepts of corporate finance, including fiscal decision-making, risk management and investment planning. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illnois at Urbana-Champaign.

Public Sector Accounting

This module will teach you how to effectively manage financial resources in government organisations. This includes understanding budgeting processes, financial reporting requirements, and compliance with regulations specific to the public sector.

Financial Statements Analysis

Financial Statement Analysis seeks to introduce you to the analysis and use of financial information for decision-making purposes. You will learn to consider the environment in which financial reporting exists, including the incentives faced by preparers of financial reports.  You will also earn microcredentials from Intuit Professional Development.

Audit & Assurance Services 2 

This module is designed to provide an insight into the area of auditing. Initially there is a walk-through of the audit process and consideration is given to the role of the auditor. The process and techniques of how and audit is controlled from initial contact to the completed audit report are also explained. 

Advanced Taxation 

This module is an extension of the Taxation course and it covers all aspects of company taxation, investment incentives and indirect taxes. You will learn more advance taxation topic such as corporate tax, withholding tax, and real property gain tax, and will be exposed to the current development in Malaysian Taxation System. 

MPU Modules

Falsafah dan Isu Semasa

This module covers the relation between philosophy, the National Education Philosophy and the National Principles of Malaysia (Rukun Negara).

Ethics of Communication

You will explore various ethical theories and principles that guide communication practices in professional settings. You will also learn how to navigate complex ethical dilemmas that may arise in your personal and professional life.

Year 3

Corporate Governance & Ethics

This module seeks to acquaint you to ethical concepts that are relevant to the resolution of moral and current ethical issues in relation to corporate governance as well as any ethical business issues. You will be provided with the opportunity to inculcate reasoning and analytical skills needed to apply the ethical theories and concepts to business decision-making. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Financial Reporting 

This module enables you to apply approved accounting standards to account for various categories of financial assets, liabilities, equity, and leases; to apply approved accounting standards to account for provisions and contingencies, investment properties and impairment of assets. 

Fintech

This module aims to familiarise you with a wide range of financial technologies, as well as how you can utilise and adapt them into your career. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Michigan.

Advanced Management Accounting 

This module develops your analytical ability in using management accounting information for strategic planning, performance evaluation and management control, incorporating motivational, behavioural, and ethical considerations. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Strategic Management

You will be exposed to the various analytical tools used in the strategic management process to aid organisation decision making. You will learn more on topics related to the formulation and implementation of corporate and business strategies. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Virginia.

Investments and Portfolio Management

This course analyses the process of investment in financial markets from both a practical and theoretical level. It aims to introduce you to the various types of financial instruments in common use and to the economic theories that explain how they are priced. You will also earn a microcredential from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

International Finance

With this module, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of global financial markets and the impact of exchange rates on investments. This knowledge will be essential for making informed decisions in a rapidly changing economic environment.

Industrial Training

You will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience in your field of study by working in a professional setting. This hands-on experience will allow you to apply the knowledge you have learned in the classroom to practical situations, preparing you for future careers.

Community Service 2  

This module will teach you to critically evaluate information, both in and out of the classroom, in order to make valid, sound decisions, to live, work, and learn respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs and to feel comfortable and safe in your living environment.

Integriti dan Anti Rasuah 

This module covers the basic concepts of corruption including the value of integrity, anti-corruption, forms of corruption, abuse of power in daily activities and organisations as well as ways to prevent corruption. Cases related to corruption are discussed. Teaching and learning methods are implemented in the form of ‘experiential learning’ through individual and group activities. At the end of this module, students will be able to understand the practice of integrity, the concept of corruption, anti-corruption, abuse of power, as well as the prevention of corruption in society and organisations.

Penghayatan Etika dan Peradaban (Local students)  

This module aims to provide a true understanding of the concept of ethical appreciation, especially in complying with the National Principles (Rukun Negara), government policies, unity efforts and national development. In this module, students will also be enlightened on Malaysian history before and after its independence, and efforts undertaken in building the nation's civilisation.

Bahasa Melayu Komunikasi 2  

This module helps you communicate effectively in a formal/informal setting, building your confidence as you hone your interaction skills in the national language.

Entrepreneurial Skills 2 *HEC, Paris 

Through this module, you will hone important entrepreneurial skills, including how to scale up a company, boost creativity, and manage new product development among others. You will also earn a microcredential from HEC, Paris.
