BAC Career Club AGM 2023/24
The BAC Career Club is one of the established groups that persisted during the pandemic, giving students a taste of what the working world might be like and sparking ideas for other legal career paths they might choose to take. With all the accomplishments they've had since they were founded, it was a celebration for them to be conducting their Annual General Meeting for the 2023/24 tenure. The purpose of this meeting was not to elect a new club committee, but to introduce the committee and announce the plans for the new tenure.
The event kicked off with a speech from Club Advisor, Mr. Andrew Kalish, who is also the Head of Legal for BAC Education. He spoke to the students about the purpose of the Career Club and how he as Club Advisor, he can help students. He also emphasised on the importance of a LinkedIn account and mentioned his plans to work with the club to organise a session to coach students on curating their LinkedIn profiles.
After Mr. Andrew's enlightening speech was an icebreaking session! The audience got into high gear with a Kahoot quiz, coined by the students. The quiz consisted of questions regarding different careers and the meaning of different job positions. The top three winners of the quiz then received a small prize from the club committee!
The final item on the agenda was the introduction of the committee. Each division of the BAC Career Club took turns to introduce themselves and what they do, beginning from the presidential office, all the way to the content creation. They shared about their plans for the tenure and what they hope to achieve with the participation of the members.
