BAC Career Club visits Zul Rafique & Partners
Have you ever wondered what your future workplace would look like? Do you have expectations in place of what you would encounter once you join the workforce? You may even be intimidated to enter the workforce. The Content Creation unit of BAC Career Club acknowledged this and rolled out some initiatives.
So in that line of thought, they've begun producing a new video series called "A Peek into My Future Workplace!" This series will give students a chance to virtually tour certain companies and firms that they would not be able to in-person, as well as gain some insights on the working world and how they can increase their chances of being hired.
On 21st February 2023, several members of BAC Career Club visited the first firm in their series–Zul Rafique & Partners! There, they met Ms. Amylia Soraya Aminuddin, a partner in the Knowledge Management, Research and Training as well as the Intellectual Property practice groups.
Ms. Amylia showed students the three floors in the office, with each wing having its own practice, such as Energy & Utilities, Corporate M&A, and Projects & Corporate Advisory. There were also leisure and resting places in the office such as a cafeteria where everyone would gather for events and celebrations, and a veranda to go out to for some fresh air.
Ms. Amylia then brought the students to her office, where they asked her a few questions about the legal field and the firm itself, which was turned into an interview with her. She gave some advice and explained the hiring process at Zul Rafique for pupils, interns and fresh graduates.
It was an insightful process for the students, who will implement what they learned for their next firm visit. This series will definitely be impactful for the students who will be viewing it.
