Brush With Love with BAC Leo Club

Earlier this September, the Leo Club of BAC, together with GLP Global and Messrs Gary Lee & Partners, brought families, volunteers, and children together for Brush with Love, a heartwarming community initiative held at Tower 3 in Ampang.

The mission? To promote acceptance, inclusion, and support for special kids and their families. With over 60 participants in attendance, including children, parents, educators, and volunteers, the morning blossomed into one filled with creativity, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

A Colourful Start

The event also gave space for important discussions. Messrs Gary Lee & Partners hosted an informative session on planning for children’s futures, equipping parents with knowledge to better navigate legal and financial considerations.

Meanwhile, Life Coach, Lion Lai Voon Mei from the Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur shared a great deep dive into mental health management, a topic that resonated with both parents and volunteers. Her session reminded everyone of the importance of emotional well-being while caring for children with special needs.

More Than an Event

Brush with Love can never be said to be "just an event". It became a reflection of care and solidarity that is instilled within those who give. The best part is that even the parents walked away with both practical guides and emotional encouragement, while the volunteers gained new important new lenses on empathy and acceptance.

By filling colours into batik, the participants also filled the hearts of everyone present with love, warmth, and hope. With that being said, Brush with Love left behind an important reminder: that when communities come together, special kids are not just supported, but embraced as an integral part of society.
