Dhol & Deepam 2k25
A Deepavali to Remember
As lamps were lit and hearts came together, the spirit of Deepavali illuminated BACPAC with culture, unity, and joy. Dhol & Deepam 2K25, held on 12 December 2025 at BACPAC, was successfully organised by the Indian Cultural Society (ICS) and the Punjabi Cultural Society (PCS).
This collaborative celebration brought together students and guests in a festive showcase of tradition, togetherness, and shared cultural pride, fostering a deeper appreciation of Deepavali within the college community
The opening ceremony continued with a Bharatanatyam remix performance by Sharrini Aurelia, which beautifully represented Indian culture and set an elegant and traditional tone for the evening. The Punjabi Cultural Society then presented their first cultural performance, a vibrant dance by Gurpavith, Gina, Jasmeen and Prem, which was warmly received by the audience. This was followed by a musical performance by Kavisha and Rofeena, who captivated the audience with their powerful and melodious vocals.
The festivities continued with an interactive game session hosted by Sarvesh, featuring a reversed song identification challenge that had the audience laughing and actively joining in, adding a fun and lively element to the evening.
Next, a spirited and well-coordinated dance by Subah, Tharviend, Sharvin, Naveen, Pavitra, Jivitha, and Navakarashu brought bursts of energy and entertainment, keeping the momentum high. Audience engagement was further amplified with interactive games hosted by Balvin on behalf of the Punjabi Cultural Society.
The excitement continued with a dynamic dance performance by Kesheka, Anjali, Rania, Tejaashvini, and Thaanusha, which drew cheers and applause from the crowd. One of the highlights of the evening was a special performance by the Board of Directors—Narmatha, Navena, Sharveena, Roshveer, Joshveer, and Hiresh—a lively and memorable segment that left a lasting impression on all attendees.
The celebration reached its peak with the highly anticipated Dance Floor segment, hosted by Leisha and Sharveena. Opening with a traditional Jago performance, the segment transitioned seamlessly into an open dance floor, inviting everyone to join in and creating a vibrant, energetic, and joyous atmosphere that perfectly captured the spirit of the evening.
In the end…
Dhol & Deepam 2k25 received an overwhelmingly positive response from all participants and attendees. The event successfully highlighted the importance of unity, cultural appreciation and collective identity while reinforcing pride in Indian culture and heritage. All students who attended the night departed with a strong sense of satisfaction and joy.
The event concluded formally, marking the success of yet another memorable initiative jointly organised by BAC's Indian Cultural Society and the Punjabi Cultural Society. From the outset, the event captivated the students through lively performances, interactive activities and a well-coordinated program flow. The smooth execution reflected the strong teamwork and dedication of the organising committee.
