Discover the one-stop Specialist Jobs Portal

for Hospitality, Food and Beverage Industry

The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), together with Reliance College and the BAC Education Group, launched a specialist jobs portal for the hospitality and food & beverage industry on July 21st , 2022, via https://hoteljobs.my/.

This jobs portal aspires to support jobseekers with free careers, training and employment advice and assistance. This alliance pledged to train 1,000 Malaysians to fill the acute labour shortage in the industry for free.

President of MAH, Madam Christina Toh is delighted to work with Reliance College to “help bring the Specialist Jobs Portal for the Hospitality and Food & Beverage Industry into realization” as in the aftermath of the recent pandemic, many displaced workers from the hospitality industry had left to work for other sectors and are not too keen on returning - leading to an ongoing labour shortage crisis for the industry.

That is why MAH feels it is timely to introduce the specialist job portal now. We believe this portal will be instrumental to the hospitality industry going forward as it enables us to reach out to prospective hoteliers who are looking to explore the opportunities available to them in this industry” she continued.

Serving as a hub for a holistic glimpse to the industry as a whole, the job portal will also serve many beneficial functions to jobseekers such as easy access to upskilling and reskilling training programmes, employment advice, personalized assistance and many more that we believe will prove to be a great boon for the industry down the line.”

The BAC Education Group’s Managing Director, Raja Singham is delighted at the progress of the partnership between Reliance College and MAH, as it will essentially increase jobseeker employability. “We have a close relationship with MAH and have been working with them for a while. They have been working diligently to solve the acute job shortage and high unemployment rates in the industry - an admirable goal that aligns with ours.”

At the BAC Education Group, we firmly believe in cross-sector collaborations that will promote employment and sustainable economic growth, enabling our nation to build back better. Over the past year, we have launched several nation building initiatives, together with the public, government and private sectors, that aim to not only build a digital workforce by upskilling and reskilling Malaysians, but also facilitate the creation of new jobs and sustainable employment.”

Raja went on to urge all employers in the hospitality and tourism industry to join the HotelJobs initiative as it is “our collective responsibility to help our country recover from this devastating pandemic. By reskilling and upskilling the existing workforce, generating new jobs, and holding on to our employees, we are boosting our economy as spending power increases in tandem with earnings.”

MAH and Reliance, through a strategic partnership, will be actively organizing various active labour market programmes including career fairs and employability programmes targeted to all categories of job seekers.

With this in mind, HotelJobs.my will include various services that are related to employment opportunities, training programmes and assistance with incentives and other enquiries.

Services that will be made available through the satellite centre include:

  • Career Advisory Services
  • Profiling
  • Readiness Assessments
  • Individual Placement Support
  • Upskilling, Reskilling and Training Opportunities
  • Graduate Empowerment Programmes
  • Monthly Programmes organized by MAH and Reliance College
