When Life Gives You Lemons...You make the Change!

On the 27th of August 2025, the BAC Leo Club proudly launched the LemonAid Project, a vibrant blend of service, sustainability and sweet refreshments. This hands-on initiative wasn’t just about quenching thirst with a cool cup of lemonade, but  was in fact about sparking community engagement and driving environmental awareness, one lemon at a time.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

With a passionate team of 6 dedicated volunteers, the event ran for a full 4 hours, welcoming around 43 customers who dropped by to support their cause. Each purchase of a refreshing, handmade lemonade came with a delightful bonus: a free plant, encouraging green living in the simplest way.

Roles were split seamlessly among the volunteers, from lemonade preparation and handling sales, to promoting the stall and interacting with visitors. This division of tasks helped ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone involved.

Purpose Beyond the Pitcher

At its core, the LemonAid Project was about more than just fundraising. It was designed to:

• Promote eco-conscious habits through the use of natural ingredients and low-waste practices
• Support the Leo Club’s global cause, which is our Environment
• Provide members with a real-world platform to build their leadership, teamwork and communication skills.

By pairing simple, sustainable choices with a fun community-driven approach, they were aimed to show that small actions can make a big impact.
