The Case Begins

BAC’s Law Society transformed a regular day into an intense crime scene investigation. If you’ve ever wanted to step into the shoes of a detective, this event gave you the perfect chance.

With four teams of seven playing the role of investigators, it was a race to gather clues, interrogate suspects, and uncover the truth behind a mysterious crime crafted by the creative minds of BAC's Law Society.

The event kicked off with a trailer, setting the scene for the crime and giving you a glimpse into the mystery ahead. You could feel the excitement in the air as the Game Masters and Deputies of the Law Society's Event Department, Eva and Mikayla, explained the rules. Each team received a case file, containing crucial information:

• Profiles of the suspects
• Background details
• The library’s floor plan
• Collected evidence

Now with case files in hand, you and your team immediately began piecing the story together, preparing for a crime show adventure ahead.

Investigating the Crime Scene

One by one, each team entered the crime scene room, where a corpse lay in a dorm room. You had just five minutes at each clue area to carefully examine everything—from hidden Post-it notes to documents, objects and even the "victim's corpse" as well—each detail playing a role in solving the case.

There was a total of six key areas to investigate, each revealing different pieces of the puzzle. It wasn’t just about collecting the evidence—it was about connecting the dots and figuring out what really happened.

Interrogating the Suspects

With enough evidence gathered, it was time to interrogate the four suspects. This was where your investigative skills were put to the test. Did their alibis make sense? Were there inconsistencies in their statements? You had to think critically, ask the right questions, and spot the lies.

Once you and your team were confident in your findings, it was time for the final step—presenting your case in court.

The Courtroom Showdown

In the final stage, each team entered the courtroom to present their case to the judge. You laid out your evidence, explained your reasoning, and named your prime suspect.

Just as the verdict was about to be delivered, a plot twist unfolded—the real suspect rushed in and confessed!

Despite the twist, all four teams still managed to get the answer right, proving their prowess in identifying important details. To celebrate, participants who cracked the case were awarded certificates and goodie bags as a reward for their hard work.
