Peace on Earth
A Christmas Party by BACCF

Good food, good company and the experience of the greatest gift of all: Jesus

As a campus fellowship, the BAC Christian Fellowship (BACCF) seeks to create a welcoming space where both Christians and non-Christians can encounter the Gospel. In the spirit of this mission, BACCF hosted its Christmas celebration themed Peace on Earth on 9 December 2025 at the BAC Flagship PJ Campus. Inspired by the beloved hymn Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, the theme invited everyone to reflect on the true reason for the season - Jesus Christ.

Every element of the programme was thoughtfully planned to highlight the real meaning of Christmas, shifting the focus away from Santa Claus and presents, and instead centering on the birth of Jesus and the peace He brings. The evening began with a warm opening introduction, followed by a lively icebreaker, “The Hot Mistletoe,” where participants passed around a mistletoe while answering fun questions that helped everyone connect and get to know one another better.

Bringing the theme to life, a skit was performed portraying a chaotic family and exploring what is truly needed to restore peace in their lives. This was followed by a Bible reading and a meaningful message shared by the speaker, Li Qi, which encouraged reflection and renewal. The celebration was further enriched with joyful worship, as CF members led the congregation in singing, filling the hall with energy, unity, and cheer. Students who attended enjoyed a memorable evening filled with laughter, fellowship, and heartfelt moments.

As the year draws to a close, the BACCF team looks ahead with gratitude and hope, trusting that the message of peace shared during this celebration will continue to touch and transform the lives of students on campus. With hearts renewed, BACCF looks forward to the year ahead, embracing a new season filled with faith, purpose, and blessings.

"We all have our own definitions of peace. To some, peace is the absence of conflict; to others, it is the lack of sorrow and pain in the world. What is common in these definitions is our desire for a world without suffering. A beautiful and blissful idea. However, from God’s perspective, this picture of peace is shallow and incomplete, because it excludes Him, our Creator. The Bible shows us that God’s true vision of peace is revealed in when God choose to dwell with mankind in perfect harmony, love and relationship. However, when humanity chose to live our own way and reject God, that relationship was broken. When our relationship with the source of life was severed, death entered the world as the consequence of sin. From that moment on, we could never save ourselves. No amount of good deeds could earn our way back into God’s presence. The world remains in chaos because people pursue their own definitions of peace, goals and desires. How can true peace exist when everyone lives for themselves? - Clarrisse

This Christmas, the BACCF and the participants did not just leave with full hearts, but with the reminder that peace on earth begins where every heart is gathered, every conversation shared and the peace they have because of Jesus. Here’s to a Blessed Christmas and a grace filled New Year.
