On 23rd July 2025, the Omnia Auditorium at Menara BAC was abuzz with energy as BAC Education, in collaboration with HRD Academy, UNIMY and Masryef, hosted yet another Tech Talk - NextGen FinTech: Shaping the Future of Finance. The event brought together industry leaders, academics and students for an insightful exploration of the innovations and challenges shaping the financial technology landscape.

Muhammad Fahmi Mustafa (Head of Islamic Banking and Finance, Sunline) shed light on China's rapid adoption of financial technology, offering key insights into what the rest of the world can learn from its progress.

Ashish Sharma (Sales Director, Backbase) discussed the ongoing innovation revolution within traditional banking institutions.

Wai Ken Wong (Country Manager, StashAway) underscored the critical role of strategic wealth management in an increasingly digital world.

Adding a forward-looking perspective, Foong Chee Mun (Chief Product Officer, Ryt Bank) explored the impact of large language models on user interaction and digital finance experiences.

The highlight of the event was a thought-provoking forum, moderated by Associate Professor Mohammad Kamal Mohd Rathi of UNIMY.

A major milestone of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the BAC Education Group and Infoline IT Solutions Sdn Bhd. This partnership will see the establishment of a state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Laboratory and Security Operations Centre (SOC) at the UNIMY campus. The facility will serve as a training ground for students to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity, equipping them with skills that are increasingly essential in the FinTech sector.
