Strengthening Engineering Excellence: EAC’s Courtesy Visit to UNIMY

On 9th September 2025, the University of Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UNIMY) was honoured to welcome distinguished representatives from the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), Dato' Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohamed Rafiq and Ir. Rafil Elyas, for a courtesy visit to Menara BAC Education.

This is yet another important milestone in UNIMY's pursuit of reinforcing the strength and quality of its engineering programmes. But this is just the start, UNIMY has and will continue its commitment to excellence in engineering education.

A Platform for Collaboration

The engagement served as a vital platform to share updates on the progress of UNIMY’s programmes, strengthen collaboration with the EAC on matters of accreditation, and reaffirm the university’s dedication to shaping future-ready engineers.

Discussions covered not only UNIMY’s advancements in its programme delivery but also its alignment with the continuous development in this specific industry's needs and global standards.

Commitment to Engineering Excellence

"To nurture a new generation of engineers", that is UNIMY's goal. The idea to equip students to drive Malaysia’s digital and technological future is paramount, and discussions like this help progress it. With accreditation as a cornerstone of quality assurance, UNIMY marches strongly in ensuring that its engineering students graduate with the skills, knowledge, and recognition needed to thrive in this competitive, ever-evolving modern field.

Looking Ahead

The insightful exchanges during the visit serve as a reminder of the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and professional accreditation bodies. As UNIMY continues to build on its strengths, the university looks forward to furthering its role in advancing engineering excellence and contributing to Malaysia’s growing technological ecosystem.
