Career Opportunities

A Media & Communication degree doesn’t box you into one career path — it opens an entire industry.

Because in today’s world, every brand, organisation, movement and leader depends on powerful storytelling, strategic messaging and meaningful audience engagement. And that’s exactly what you’ll know how to do.

Media Executive
Curate, plan and manage content across television, radio, digital platforms and streaming networks. You’ll decide what gets seen, when it gets released and how it reaches the right audience — crafting conversations at scale.
Content Writer
Tell stories that matter. Whether reporting on global issues, covering entertainment, or producing compelling online features, you’ll inform, influence and spark dialogue across print, broadcast and digital media.
Public Relations Consultant
Be the architect behind powerful reputations. You’ll craft press strategies, manage crises, build media relationships and position brands, corporations and public figures for long-term credibility and impact.
Digital Content Strategist
Create content that doesn’t just scroll by — it stops thumbs. From social campaigns and YouTube series to podcasts and interactive media, you’ll turn insights into engagement and engagement into measurable growth.
Corporate Communications Manager
Lead internal and external communications for multinational companies and major organisations. From executive messaging to stakeholder engagement, you’ll ensure clarity, consistency and confidence at every level.
Brand Communication Specialist
Design integrated campaigns that connect emotionally and strategically. You’ll align messaging across advertising, digital, events and PR to build brands people trust and remember.
Media Researcher or Analyst
Understand audiences before anyone else does. You’ll study behaviour, cultural shifts and media trends, translating data into strategies that guide campaigns, programming and business decisions.

Examination Structure

The University of London programme follows a 3+0 structure, consisting of three academic levels: Level 4, 5, and 6 (Year 1, 2, and 3). You will typically complete four subjects per year, totaling 12 law subjects to qualify for certification. While the standard duration is three years, you have up to seven years to complete the programme.

Eligibility for the Certificate of Legal Practice and the UK Bar Course depends on the latest requirements outlined by LPQB and the UK Bar. Assessments are primarily written exams, usually accounting for 100% of the module grade. Some modules may include multiple-choice questions or a combination of assessment formats.

Exams are typically three hours long and conducted in a closed-book format unless stated otherwise. The grading system ranges from First-Class (70% and above) to Fail (below 40%), with resit opportunities available in the October exam session.
