Lecturer Bio

Dr. Sanjeetha Sidhu is a distinguished Malaysian legal academic and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Veritas University College. With more than 16 years of experience in legal education, she has built a strong reputation for her subject expertise, student-centered teaching approach, and contributions to academic development in the field of law.

Her academic journey is marked by exceptional achievement. She obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class Honours from a United Kingdom external programme, an accomplishment that places her among a very small group of top-performing graduates globally. In fact, only two First Class Honours were reportedly awarded worldwide in her graduating year, underscoring her intellectual capability and dedication. She further pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) at the University of Malaya and later completed the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP), qualifying her for legal practice in Malaysia. Demonstrating a commitment to advancing her expertise in education, she also earned a Doctor of Education (EdD) from Open University Malaysia.

Dr. Sanjeetha’s teaching career spans a wide range of academic levels, from foundation and undergraduate programmes to postgraduate and doctoral studies. She specializes in areas such as Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Corporate and Business Law. Her versatility also extends to professional education, where she has taught law-related subjects for ACCA programmes. Known for her engaging and accessible teaching style, she emphasizes clarity and practical application, helping students from diverse academic backgrounds grasp complex legal principles with confidence.

Beyond her classroom responsibilities, Dr. Sanjeetha plays an active role in shaping legal education standards. She serves on the Advisory Board of Open University Malaysia and is an External Examiner for the Foundation in Law programme at Brickfields Asia College. These positions reflect her influence in curriculum development and academic quality assurance within Malaysia’s higher education landscape.

Her contributions are not limited to Malaysia. Dr. Sanjeetha has delivered lectures internationally, including in Hong Kong and China, for both LLB and ACCA programmes. She has also participated as a guest speaker at the International Forum on Business Education held in Malaysia in 2008, further demonstrating her engagement with the global academic community.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Sanjeetha is an author. Her textbook, Corporate & Business Law Made Easy for Accounting, Business & Finance Students, is designed to simplify complex legal concepts for students in non-law disciplines. This work reflects her broader educational philosophy—making legal knowledge accessible, relevant, and practical.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sanjeetha has successfully guided and mentored hundreds of students, many of whom have gone on to build careers in law, business, and finance.
