Lecturer Bio

Sen Ze a Barrister-at-Law of Lincoln’ s Inn, United Kingdom, and an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. He was called to the English Bar in 1990 and began his legal career in 1992 as a junior associate.

From the early years of his practice, Sen Ze distinguished himself by combining legal skill with a strong interest in technology and systems. With the permission of his firm, he began implementing advanced tools and workflow improvements to increase efficiency and productivity. These changes allowed the firm to handle significantly more work without increasing costs. Corporate clients, including banks, recognised the firm’s improved performance and responded by sending even more cases, further increasing revenue.

As a direct result of this approach, Sen Ze’s salary increments averaged approximately 33% per year, which were three to six times higher than the typical annual increments of his peers. By his third year as a junior associate, he was offered a share of the firm’s profits, and he would later become a partner. The strategies and principles behind this accelerated progression form part of the foundation of The Intelligent Lawyer.

Beyond legal practice, Sen Ze has built and operated multiple businesses using emerging technologies as their core drivers. These include ventures based on the Internet, mobile applications, social media, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. As a non-technical entrepreneur who uses technology for leverage rather than complexity, he has spent decades helping individuals and organisations increase income, efficiency, and scale.

Over the years, Sen Ze has trained tens of thousands of people through his consulting, coaching, and educational programmes. His clients include homemakers, students, retirees, working executives, lawyers, doctors, consultants, financial experts, and companies seeking to grow revenue without proportional increases in time or cost.

He is also a best-selling author with a long publishing history. His first print book, How to Use the Internet to Earn US Dollars in Your Pajamas, was published in 2002 and sold more than 40,000 copies, remaining on best-seller lists for years. In 2008, The AirAsia Story was published and achieved immediate best-seller status, selling more than 30,000 copies. Earlier still, he published a technology-focused book in PDF format as early as 1998, selling 5,000 copies worldwide and generating approximately USD485,000 in revenue with a 95% profit margin.

In addition to writing, Sen Ze is an experienced speaker and trainer. He has taught professionals across industries, including sessions where he trained over 150 medical doctors and specialists on using AI and Internet-based systems to grow their medical practices.

The Intelligent Lawyer is his latest book that took also took him the longest to write — more than 30 years, to be exact. It brings together his vast experiences into a structured framework for legal professionals who want to earn more, grow faster, and build practices that do not depend entirely on personal hours. The book serves as the foundation for The Intelligent Lawyer Inner Circle, where members continue to apply and deepen these strategies through ongoing education.

Sen Ze also conducts live workshops for lawyers who want to move beyond principles into execution. These sessions focus on client acquisition, retention, systems, and scalable firm growth, and are designed to adapt to each lawyer’s practice area and goals.

Today, Sen Ze is recognised for his ability to connect law, technology, and human judgement in ways that help professionals achieve meaningful growth while maintaining clarity, efficiency, and control.
