Course Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 as accepted by the Senate; or
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to an internal assessment; or
- A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a relevant field

Examination Structure
Assessment in the MEd programme includes both formative and summative evaluations. Most courses allocate 60% to assignments and 40% to the final exam. However, some courses are entirely assignment-based, with no final examination (100% coursework).

Exemption and Progression
Students who have completed relevant postgraduate studies may apply for credit exemptions, subject to approval. For progression, graduates of this program can advance to doctoral studies (PhD in Education)
FAQs About Master of Education (MEd)
How are lectures conducted?
Lectures are delivered online through live sessions on Zoom on two Saturdays per course, totaling 12 hours. Attendance is not mandatory, as all lectures will be recorded and uploaded to the LMS for later access.
I live abroad. How will this affect my participation in live sessions?
You may need to adjust your schedule to join the live sessions. However, if attending live is not feasible, you should engage with the recorded sessions. Additionally, it is important to keep your instructor informed about your situation and stay in contact in case you face any difficulties accessing the recordings.
What if I don't understand the pre-recorded lectures?
If you need clarification, you can ask questions through various channels:
- Post your queries in the online discussion forum (LMS).
- Reach out to your instructor via WhatsApp.
- Ask questions during live sessions.
- Send an email to your instructor for further clarification.

Is the MEd programme officially accredited and recognized in Malaysia?
Yes, the MEd programme is fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and officially recognized by the Malaysian government.
I don’t have a bachelor’s degree, but I have years of teaching experience. Can I enroll in the MEd programme?
Yes, you may still qualify for the Master of Education programme through APEL A entry if you are a Malaysian and meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Malaysian and at least 30 years old.
- Must have relevant work experience in education.
Requires one of the following educational qualifications:
- STPM / Recognized Diploma
- Matriculation / Foundation (minimum 50-52 credits, CGPA 2.00+, at least 1 year)
- A-Level (minimum 3 courses with at least grade E, at least 18 months)
- International Baccalaureate (minimum 6 courses, 24 points, at least 2 years)
Must pass the APEL Assessment, which includes:
- Aptitude Test
- Portfolio Submission
- Interview (conducted by Veritas University College)
How many credit hours and courses do I need to complete for the MEd programme?
The Master of Education (MEd) program consists of 40 credit hours in 2 semesters per year.
In the 1st year, you will be enrolled in 3 courses per semester. In the 2nd year, you may take either 2 or 3 courses, depending on your chosen option.
