Course Entry Requirements
- Master’s Degree (through coursework/mixed mode) in a related field. Master’s Degree by research is a field related to Education,
- Students who have 1st Class Honours at the undergraduate level, subject to conditions laid out in MQA circular Bil13/2019 of 17 July 2019, or
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree are subject to approval by Veritas University College

- Part-time PhD: Takes approximately 11 to 12 semesters, divided into 4 stages.

Is this PhD by Research or Coursework?
This is primarily a PhD by Research. You are only required to complete one compulsory course: Research Methodology. There is no final written exam for this course; assessment is based on assignment submission. The rest of your candidature focuses on your thesis.

The compulsory Research Methodology module carries 3 credit hours. Once this module is completed, your progress is measured by your research milestones (Proposal Defense, Thesis, and Viva Voce) rather than traditional credit accumulation.
