Course Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or an equivalent qualification as accepted by the Senate; or
  • A Bachelor's Degree with CGPA below 2.50 out of 4.00 or an equivalent qualification, subject to a minimum of 5 years of working experience

Examination Structure

The course assessment consists of 100% research projects.

 Recommended Subject Combinations

The MBA in Corporate Law programme does not offer elective subjects; instead, it comprises the following specialization subjects.

  • Intellectual Property in Practice 
  • Mergers and Acquisitions in Practice 
  • Corporate Law 
  • Commercial Contracts in Practice 
  • Business Intelligence 

To successfully complete the programme, you are required to take a total of 11 subjects and 1 research project with a word count of 15,000. Each subject includes 20 hours of Zoom online lectures, while the Master Research Project is supervised individually by an appointed supervisor.

How would having MBACL improve my career prospects?

MBACL exposes students to current practices in key fields like Corporate Law, M&A, and Intellectual Property, especially with recent changes driven by AI. If my undergraduate degree is in engineering, can I still enrol for MBACL? </h3> 

Yes, you can still enroll in this programme.  

Is MBACL 100% online based?

Yes. This programme is virtually conducted. 

Can the program be done part time?  

Yes. This program does not require full-time studies.

Can I use the MBACL to pursue a Doctorate or PHD later?

Yes you can. 

Is it possible to switch from MBACL to conventional MBA later?

This is subject to the discretion of the Veritas Business School and is to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. 

What’s the difference between online and physical MBA programs, and what’s the advantage of the online option?

Online MBA programs have non-compulsory online classes, while physical programs require in-person attendance. The advantage of online programs is the flexibility to join classes from anywhere with internet access and to view recorded lectures at your convenience.

What is the difference between MBA in Corporate Law and Masters in Corporate Law & Governance?

 MCLG has a special focus on corporate governance which includes key governance areas like Corporate Secretarial Practice and Corporate Governance whereas MBACL has more business elements to it with a few law based specializations like Mergers and Acquisitions (M & A) and Commercial Contracts in Practice. 

If I withdraw from another MBA program, am I eligible for exemptions or credit transfers if I enrol in MBACL?

This is subject to the discretion of the Veritas Business School and is to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. 

What are the technical requirements for MBACL?

Basic computing (Microsoft, Cloud computing) and basic mathematical knowledge as some subjects like Managerial Finance and Managerial Economics have calculations. 

Are there any scholarships offered by the Veritas Business School or BAC Education?
