Course Entry Requirements

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum Grade C [Grade Point (GP) 2.0] in any two subjects, or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid; OR
  • 5 Bs in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) (including English Language); OR
  • Matriculation/Foundation qualification or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma in any field or its equivalent.

*For international students: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent is required

Conventional students benefit from hands-on learning experiences, including practical sessions in our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Simulation Lab, allowing you to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world teaching scenarios. This immersive approach ensures you develop essential skills for working effectively with young learners.

      Practicum & Hands-on Experience

      How long is the teaching practicum?

      The practicum consists of 16 weeks, where you gain hands-on experience in early childhood education settings, including preschools and childcare centres.

      Can I choose my own practicum placement?

      Yes, you can select your own practicum placement, provided it is a registered kindergarten or preschool. If you are unable to secure a placement, the university will assist in finding a suitable location.

      Yes. This degree meets the qualifications required by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and relevant authorities to establish and manage a registered kindergarten. Additional business registration and compliance with local regulations may be required.
